The invention discloses a road cone collecting and releasing device for road construction. The device comprises a vehicle body provided with four groups of wheels at the lower side, the vehicle body can collect and release road cones provided with road cone iron blocks at the upper ends, a collecting cavity of which the right side is communicated with the outside is formed in the vehicle body, a sliding cavity is formed in the lower side of the collecting cavity, a conveying assembly is arranged in the sliding cavity, a transmission cavity is formed in the front sides of the sliding cavity andthe collecting cavity, a transmission assembly and a driving assembly are arranged in the transmission cavity, the lower end wall of the collecting cavity is communicated with the sliding cavity through a through hole, and a driving material receiving chain wheel shaft extending forwards to the transmission cavity is rotationally mounted on the front end wall of the collecting cavity. When the device is used for collecting the road cones, a collecting chain wheel rotates to collect the road cones on the road surface and push the road cones to the stacking position, when the road cones are released, a releasing chain wheel rotates to attract the stacked road cones, the road cones fall to the road surface through a discharging port, so manual placing and recycling are not needed, time and labor are saved, placing is uniform and orderly, and casualties caused by dangers are not likely to happen.
