The invention discloses a deceleration strip device in front of a gate, which comprises a box body, wherein a reduction gearbox is fixedly arranged on the front side of the box body, a speed reductionspace is formed in the speed reduction box, big gear shafts rotationally connected to the front inner wall and the rear inner wall of the speed reduction space are arranged in the speed reduction space in a bilateral symmetry mode, a deceleration strip used for helping a vehicle to decelerate is fixedly arranged on the large gear shaft, and a deceleration device for driving the large gear shaft to rotate and stop is arranged in the box body. Compared with a traditional deceleration strip, the deceleration strip is simple in structure, the utilization rate of the deceleration strip is increased through normal work of the deceleration strip when the gate is pulled down and non-work of the deceleration strip when the deceleration strip is pulled up, and the service life of the deceleration strip is prolonged. Meanwhile, the deceleration strip can be automatically locked through rainfall of rainwater, so that the deceleration strip can still work in rainy days, and the traffic safety is improved.
