The invention discloses an ultrafine active CaO production process, relates to the field of calcium oxide production, aims to solve the problem that the content of overfired lime and underfired lime in existing quick lime is too high, and is technically characterized by comprising the following steps: preparing raw materials; pre-treating the raw materials, wherein limestone and high-temperature aluminum oxide ceramic are ground, the final particle size ratio of the limestone to the high-temperature aluminum oxide ceramic is 1: (4.6-6.9), then the ground limestone and high-temperature aluminumoxide ceramic are subjected to dry mixing for 30 +/-3 min at the rotating speed of 50 +/-5 r/min, and a premix is obtained; preheating and calcining; cooling; screening and purifying: screening the cooled premix with quick lime and high-temperature aluminum oxide ceramic, and taking an upper-layer quick lime screen material; carrying out secondary screening on the lower-layer high-temperature aluminum oxide ceramic sieved material, intercepting the high-temperature aluminum oxide ceramic, and taking the lower-layer quicklime powder sieved material; performing abrasive machining. In the production process, limestone is uniformly heated, and formation of underfire lime and overfire lime is effectively reduced.
