The invention discloses a road grooving machine. The road grooving machine comprises a frame, a diesel engine and a blade; the diesel engine is in transmission connection with the blade through a transmission mechanism; two front wheels are arranged at the bottom of the front end of the frame; two rear wheels are arranged at the bottom of the rear end of the frame; L-shaped plates hinged to the frame are arranged on the outer walls of the two sides of the rear end of the frame; and universal wheels are arranged on the lower end faces of the L-shaped plates. According to the road grooving machine of the invention, the L-shaped plates capable of being hinged to the frame are arranged at the rear end of the frame; the universal wheels are arranged at the bottoms of the L-shaped plates; the inclination states of the L-shaped plates can be controlled by pressing down a handle and a cam; in a moving process, the front wheels at the front end of the frame and the universal wheels at the bottom of the L-shaped plates can be used for moving, steering is convenient; in a grooving process, the abutting states of the L-shaped plates are relieved, so that the rear wheels contact with the ground, the rear wheels cannot steer, and therefore the whole frame is stable in state, and grooving is facilitated.
