The invention provides an installation method and structure of a rail-top air duct. The method includes the steps that S0, air duct side plates and air duct bottom plates are prefabricated, wherein pouring grooves are formed in the tops of the air duct side plates; S1, the air duct side plates are lifted and positioned on site, so that the pouring grooves in the air duct side plates communicate with pouring holes reserved in station middle plates; S2, cast-in-situ concrete enters the pouring grooves in the air duct side plates through the pouring holes in the station middle plates, so that theair duct side plates and the station middle plates are fixedly bonded; and S3, the air duct bottom plates are mounted between structural side walls and the air duct side plates. The air duct side plates and the station middle plates are fixedly bonded into a whole through the cast-in-site concrete so as to bear force cooperatively, and thus the stability and reliability of the installation structure of the rail-top air duct can be remarkably improved; and no scaffold or formwork needs to be erected, construction is convenient, the construction speed is high, efficiency is high, and the construction time and costs are effectively saved.
