The invention provides a combination unit for reinforcing a masonry structure. The masonry structure comprises a to-be-reinforced wall body, the to-be-reinforced wall body comprises two opposite to-be-reinforced side surfaces, and the two opposite to-be-reinforced side surfaces are a first to-be-reinforced side surface and a second to-be-reinforced side surface; the combined unit comprises two reinforcing plates and a fastener, and the two reinforcing plates are a first reinforcing plate and a second reinforcing plate; and the first reinforcing plate and the second reinforcing plate are respectively arranged on the first to-be-reinforced side surface and the second to-be-reinforced side surface, the fastener penetrates through the to-be-reinforced wall body, and the two ends of the fastener respectively fix the first reinforcing plate and the second reinforcing plate on the first to-be-reinforced side surface and the second to-be-reinforced side surface. According to the combination unit and the construction method, the to-be-reinforced wall body is reinforced through the reinforcing plates, a cast-in-situ reinforced concrete constructional column is not needed, an existing constructional column can be directly replaced with the combined unit for reinforcing the masonry structure, the building space can be saved, the construction is convenient, and the construction efficiency is improved.
