The invention discloses an environment-friendly composite material for a decorative plate wall. The composite material comprises the following components in parts by mass: 28-33 parts of magnesium oxide; 23-33 parts of magnesium chloride solution with the concentration of 23-25%; 15-20 parts of primary fly ash; 6-10 parts of filler; 4-6 parts of obsidian; 4-6 parts of modified kaolin; 2-4 parts ofsilica fume; 2-4 parts of active aluminum oxide; 1-2 parts of a water repellent; 1-2 parts of a water repellent agent; 1-3 parts of wollastonite; 1-2 parts of a waterproof agent; 0.5-1 part of reinforced fiber; and 1.5-3 parts of a modifier. The invention further discloses a preparation method of the environment-friendly composite material for the decorative plate wall. The environment-friendlycomposite material disclosed by the invention is good in fireproof performance and low in water content, and does not generate toxic chemical substances; the composite material is good in freezing andthawing resistance, artificial aging resistance and bending strength, strong in compression resistance, not easy to deform and crack, high in strength, good in toughness and stable in mechanical property; and the raw materials are scientific and reasonable in proportion, green, environment-friendly and energy-saving; the manufacturing process is simple, and has high market competitiveness.
