The invention discloses a barrier gate movement and a barrier gate. A symmetrical rod composed of a middle connecting part and symmetrically-arranged first and second connecting arms is adopted; a power rod, a transmission rod, the symmetrical rod and a spring connecting rod form a drive link assembly; and a power assembly drives a brake bar to act in the mode that the drive link assembly drives aspindle unit. The structure is simple, and reversing of the brake bar can be achieved by simply changing the positions of the transmission rod and the spring connecting rod on the symmetrical rod. The barrier gate movement comprises a spindle unit, a power assembly, a drive link assembly and a spring assembly, wherein the spindle unit comprises a bearing mounting base, a first bearing and a spindle; the power assembly comprises a motor and a motor mounting base; the drive link assembly comprises a power rod, a transmission rod, a symmetrical rod and a spring connecting rod; and two ends of the spindle are respectively connected with the middle connecting part and the brake bar.
