The invention relates to the technical field of decorative wallboards, in particular to a mounting method for novel decorative wallboards. The mounting method comprises the following steps that multiple connecting plates are fixed on a wall body; the positions of multiple sets of mounting blocks on the connecting plates are adjusted until the mounting blocks are limited by limiting structures in the connecting plates; mounting seats are embedded into embedding grooves of the novel decorative wallboards to be fixed through screws; the multiple sets of mounting seats on the novel decorative wallboards are aligned with the multiple sets of mounting blocks on the connecting plates in a staggered mode, the novel mounting wallboards are fixed to the connecting plates through clamping structuresbetween the mounting seats and the mounting blocks, limiting of the limiting structures on the mounting blocks is relieved through unlocking pieces on the mounting seats, and the multiple sets of mounting blocks are tensioned through tensioning structures. According to the mounting method for the novel decorative wallboards, the novel decorative wallboards can be stably mounted, the relatively large gaps between the adjacent novel decorative wallboards are avoided, meanwhile, the flatness of the novel decorative wall face can be kept, and the decorative effect of the novel decorative wall faceis prevented from being influenced.
