The invention discloses a mounting structure and method for a hook on wallboards. The mounting structure comprises the wallboard, connecting buckles and the hook. The mounting method comprises the following steps: 1) clamping the connecting buckles into the wallboards; 2) fixedly mounting the first wallboard and the first connecting buckle on a wall body through screws; 3) inserting and connectingthe second wallboard and the first connecting buckle, and fixedly mounting the second wallboard and the second connecting buckle on the wall body through screws; 4) repeating the step 3), and sequentially mounting the wallboards from bottom to top until all the wallboards are mounted; and 5), a splicing gap exists between every two adjacent wallboards up and down, the hooks are arranged in the splicing gaps. According to the technical scheme, the splicing gaps in the wallboards are utilized, the hooks are arranged in the splicing gaps of the wallboards, the hooks can be taken and placed at any time, and the overall attractiveness of the wallboards cannot be affected even if the hooks are taken down.
