The problems that a steel pipe pile is constructed through a traditional down-the-hole hammer, the pile forming difficulty is high, and adaptability is poor are solved. The grouting type steel pipe pile comprises a steel pipe pile body formed by a steel pipe. Cement slurry and broken stone are fixed into the steel pipe pile body and the periphery of the steel pipe pile. The method comprises the following steps that firstly, a bottom sealing steel plate is installed; secondly, holing is carried out; thirdly, the steel pipe pile is constructed and stricken; fourthly, one-time grouting is carried out; fifthly, broken stone is thrown; sixthly, second-time grouting is carried out; and seventhly, a crown beam is welded. According to the steel pipe pile and the method, the cement slurry is injected into soil layers around a pile body uniformly through slurry output holes of the pile body, the bearing force of a foundation can be increased rapidly and effectively, the steel pipe is placed down through a vibrating hammer vibrating andstriking manner, friction resistance of soil bodies around the pile is reduced, thus the purpose of steel pipe pile sinking is achieved, restriction brought to the down-the-hole hammer construction method by a special stratum is effectively overcome, the construction manner is simple, safety, economy, applicability and high efficiency of construction are ensured, and the steel pipe pile is environmentally friendly and reliable.
