The invention discloses an inspection robot based on a scaffold. The inspection robot comprises a base plate, a camera module, a walking mechanism, a walking driving device, an electric cabinet and apower supply device, wherein the camera module, the walking mechanism, the walking driving device, the electric cabinet and the power supply device are arranged on the base plate. The inspection robotbased on the scaffold aims to ensure correct assembly of the scaffold and maintain a good use condition; building exterior wall construction and completion conditions are checked, and problems are found in time, so that the efficiency of the construction process is improved, and the workload of operators is reduced; and aiming at the characteristics of small use environment space, small turning corner and multiple curves, the inspection robot is required to inspect the building operation condition more flexibly in real time, and the operation safety and the like are ensured.
