The invention relates to a foundation pit support structure and a construction method thereof. The foundation pit support structure comprises cast-in-place piles. The foundation pit support structureis characterized by further comprising a positioning pile located on the earth-facing side of each cast-in-place pile, wherein the upper end of each positioning pile is connected with steel cables, and the other ends of the steel cables are connected with the upper end of each cast-in-place pile. When a foundation pit is excavated, the steel cables provide horizontal pull force for the cast-in-place piles, the pressure of a soil body borne by the cast-in-place piles in the excavation process of the foundation pit can be improved, so that the possibility of soil body collapse caused by dumpingof the cast-in-place piles and a formed support connected to the cast-in-place piles is reduced. The foundation pit is excavated twice in total, the foundation pit is excavated to the middle height ofeach cast-in-place pile at the first time, and the foundation pit is excavated to the lower end of each cast-in-place pile at the second time. In the two-time excavation process, the pull force provided by the steel cables to the cast-in-place piles provides higher stability to the cast-in-place piles.
