The invention relates to an anhydrous stemming material for a blast furnace. The anhydrous stemming material is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 30-35% of bauxite; 10to 15 percent of carborundum; 20 to 25 percent of clay; 10-15% of a carbon material; 4-8% of corundum; 15-20% of a binding agent; and 5-8% of an additive. The stemming material disclosed by the invention is reasonable in raw material proportion and particle size ratio and good in use performance.
