The invention provides light anhydrous stemming for an iron-making blast furnace. The light anhydrous stemming comprises a dry material and a binding agent, the dry material comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 15-25% of lightweight aggregate; 8 to 25 wt% of an alumina-based aggregate; 5 to 10 wt% of coke; 10 to 20 wt% of silicon carbide; 10 to 20 weight percent of ferro-silicon nitride; 3 to 10 wt% of an alumina-based fine powder; 3 to 10 weight percent of white mud; 2 to 6 wt% of asphalt; 4 to 15 wt% of an additive; and the mass of the binding agent is 10-18% of the mass of the dry material. According to the light anhydrous stemming for the iron-making blast furnace, the volume density of the anhydrous stemming is reduced on the premise that the physical properties of the stemming are not obviously reduced, so that the consumption of the anhydrous stemming per unit iron amount is reduced. The invention further provides a preparation method of the light anhydrous stemming for the iron-making blast furnace.
