The invention discloses a buffer type safety height-limiting cross rod. The cross rod comprises a cover plate, a buffer bin, a guide rod, a mounting pin rod, a moving sliding block, a moving connecting rod, vertical rods, a cross rod, a balancing weight and a mounting base. The vertical rods and the mounting base are mounted in a matched manner through the mounting pin rod; the mounting pin rod isconnected with the moving sliding block; the moving sliding block can achieve front-back movement of a buffer bin inner groove through the guide rod; and the cross rod is transversely positioned andmounted between the vertical rods. According to the buffer type safety height-limiting cross rod, the design of the device is suitable for a buffer design of the a height limiting rod; the vertical rods and the mounting base are mounted through a rotating shaft; the vertical rods quickly turns over when being impacted; the vertical rods push the moving sliding block to move in the buffering bin through the mounting pin rod, quantitative sand is arranged in the buffering bin, the sand is designed to be buffered to a certain extent, a trapezoidal buffering block extrudes the sand when moving, and a trapezoidal bevel edge has good buffering performance; and when the impact occurs, a vertical positioning pin rod is rapidly disconnected, and large damage caused by direct hard contact is avoided.
