The invention discloses an outdoor cleaning robot and a control method thereof. The outdoor cleaning robot comprises a base, wherein wheels are fixedly installed on the left side and the right side ofthe bottom end of the base; the top end of the base is fixedly connected with a supporting plate A, and a motor A is fixedly mounted at the top end of the supporting plate A; a rotating shaft is mounted at the top end of the motor A, and a rotating rod A is fixedly connected to the outer side wall of the rotating shaft; the top end of the rotating rod A is rotationally connected with a rotating rod B, and the top end of the rotating rod B is rotationally connected with a sliding block; sliding rails are slidably connected to the left side and the right side of the sliding block, and a supporting plate B is fixedly connected to the right side ends of the sliding rails; and the left side end of the supporting plate B is fixedly connected with the right side end of the base. The outdoor cleaning robot is simple in structure and novel in design, a proper position can be found conveniently, a cleaning brush can be right attached to a glass wall surface, the wall surface can be cleaned conveniently, the range of cleaning the glass outer wall is very large, and the practicability of the outdoor cleaning robot is greatly improved.
