The invention discloses a self-following garbage cleaning vehicle. The self-following garbage cleaning vehicle is composed of a dust suction device, a distance sensor and a walking device. According to the self-following garbage cleaning vehicle, a distance sensor technology is adopted, the distances among the three distance sensors are measured respectively, the position relation between an operator and equipment can be worked out according to the cosine law, the motion state of the equipment is judged, and therefore the following function is achieved. The equipment can suck garbage and follow the operator at the same time, an electromagnetic clutch cuts off power input of a direct-current motor when a manual mode is switched under complex road conditions, and the cleaning vehicle is pushed by the operator to adapt to different working environments.
