The invention provides a double-hearth shaft kiln and a calcining method. The double-hearth shaft kiln comprises a first shaft kiln body and a second shaft kiln body which are the same in structure and are symmetrically arranged, wherein the first shaft kiln body comprises a middle kiln hearth, the cross section of the middle kiln hearth is a regular polygon with five or more edges, and the side wall of the middle kiln hearth of the first shaft kiln body is connected and communicated with the side wall of the middle kiln hearth of the second shaft kiln body. The double-hearth shaft kiln has the beneficial effects that alkaline steam in the kiln can quickly and directly enter the second shaft kiln from a connecting channel formed in the communicating position of the side walls of the middlekiln hearths, steam cannot be condensed on quick lime, and any hard crusting phenomenon is prevented from occuring on the connecting channel.
本发明提供了一种双膛竖窑及煅烧方法，双膛竖窑包括结构相同且对称设置的第一竖窑和第二竖窑，第一竖窑包括中部窑膛，中部窑膛的横截面为边数大于五的正多边形，且第一竖窑的中部窑膛的侧壁与第二竖窑的中部窑膛的侧壁相接并连通。本发明的有益效果是，本发明确保了窑中的碱性蒸汽能迅速直接地从中部窑膛的侧壁连通处形成的连接通道进入第二竖窑，且蒸汽不会凝聚在生石灰上，避免在连接通道上产生任何结硬壳现象。
