The invention belongs to the technical field of bridge construction, and particularly relates to a catwalk plate for suspension bridge construction. The catwalk plate comprises a plate-shaped body, wherein the bottom of the plate-shaped body is provided with a first clamping mechanism for preventing the plate-shaped body from moving along the radial direction of a catwalk bearing cable, and a second clamping mechanism for preventing the plate-shaped body from moving along the axial direction of the catwalk bearing cable; a linkage triggering mechanism is further arranged in the plate-shaped body, and the linkage triggering mechanism is assembled to be capable of driving the first clamping mechanism and the second clamping mechanism to clamp the catwalk bearing cable when the plate-shaped body is placed on the catwalk bearing cable and exerts downward pressure on the plate-shaped body. The catwalk plate is provided with the first clamping mechanism and the second clamping mechanism which can automatically clamp the catwalk bearing cable. After the catwalk plate is laid on the catwalk bearing cable, downward pressure is applied to the catwalk plate, so that the first clamping mechanism and the second clamping mechanism can clamp the catwalk bearing cable, axial and radial fixation of the catwalk plate and the catwalk bearing cable is achieved, and automatic laying of the catwalkplate is facilitated.
