The invention relates to a temporary limiting device for a movable spherical support and a using method of the temporary limiting device, and relates to the technical field of bridge construction. Themovable spherical support comprises an upper support body, a lower support body, a sliding block and two sets of anchor rod assemblies, wherein the upper support is movably arranged on the lower support through the sliding block, the lower support is fixed to a pier body through the anchor rod assemblies, the two sets of anchor rod assemblies are arranged on the two sides of the lower support respectively, each anchor rod assembly comprises a plurality of anchor rods penetrating through the lower support, the anchor rods are arranged in the length direction of the lower support at intervals,and a space is formed between each anchor rod and the upper support. The temporary limiting device comprises two first limiting assemblies, wherein each first limiting assembly has a use state, when the first limiting assembly is in the use state, the two first limiting assemblies are arranged in the two spaces respectively, and the two sides of each first limiting assembly abut against the anchorrod and the upper support respectively. Therefore, transverse movement of the upper support of the transverse movable support and longitudinal movement of the upper support of the longitudinal movable support are limited, and the construction safety is guaranteed.
