The invention relates to a construction method for a suspended ceiling of an empty space. The method comprises the following steps of S1, material preparation, wherein grating units, a hoisting mechanism and fixing mechanisms are prepared; the hoisting mechanism comprises a rail, two idler wheels, a dual-shaft motor and fixed pulleys; and the fixing mechanism comprises hanger rods and positioningrods; S2, lofting, wherein the positions of the hoisting mechanism and the fixing mechanisms are determined; S3, installation of the hoisting mechanism, wherein the idler wheels are fixed to the two ends of the dual-shaft motor, and the fixed pulleys are fixed on the dual-shaft motor; slings are taken to wind the fixed pulleys; the rail is fixed, and the two idler wheels slide into the rail from the end of the rail; one end of each sling is fixed to a winch; S4, installation of the fixing mechanisms, wherein the hanger rods are fixed to the two sides of the rail, and the bottoms of the hangerrods are provided with the positioning rods; S5, hoisting of the grating units, wherein the slings are bound to the grating units, the winch is started to hoist the grating units, and the grating units and the positioning rods are fixed. According to the construction method, the entity combined by the multiple grating units is used as the suspended ceiling, and the construction difficulty of the suspended ceiling is lowered, thereby improving the construction efficiency.
