The invention relates to hydrophobic nano calcium carbonate with anti-thixotropy, and a preparation method thereof. The particle size of the hydrophobic nano calcium carbonate is 100-250 nm, the polydispersity index is 0.197-0.645, the Zeta potential is 3-11 mV, and the thixotropic ring area is -60000 to 100000 Pa.S. The hydrophobic nano calcium carbonate is obtained by modifying nano calcium carbonate with isostearic acid and hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide. The nano calcium carbonate provided by the invention has excellent negative thixotropy, hydrophobicity, lipophilicity and dispersity, is wide in application and has good economic benefits.
