The invention discloses a device for preventing an overweight automobile from rushing through a highway intersection. The device comprises a working block, first working cavities with leftward openings are formed in the working block in a bilateral symmetry manner; the left side of the first working cavity communicates with a second working cavity located in the working block and provided with anupward opening. The right side of the second working cavity is provided with a third working cavity which is located in the working block and provided with a leftward opening. A fourth working cavitylocated in the working block is formed in the upper right side of the first working cavity. A blocking mechanism is arranged in the second working cavity; when an overweight automobile is detected, the blocking mechanism is popped up from the ground through the weight of the automobile, and the motor is controlled to work through the pressure sensor when the automobile breaks through the gate so that the two baffles located under the ground are lifted and located in front of and behind the automobile to warn the overweight automobile, and if the automobile still does not stop, the linear brakenet is released from the underground to brake the wheels and stop the wheels.
