The invention provides a protection device with multiple safety protection. The protection device comprises a handrail, stand columns with one ends connected with the lower side face of the handrail,a groove pipe arranged on the side faces of the other ends of the stand column and glass arranged between the handrail and the groove pipe, a glass mounting groove extending in the axial direction ofthe handrail and provided with an opening facing the stand columns is formed in the lower side face of the handrail, and the groove pipe is made of a U-shaped groove material with a notch. The notch faces the direction of the glass mounting groove and corresponds to the position of the glass mounting groove, and the glass is placed in the glass mounting groove and the notch. The glass is not limited by the stand columns and can directly extend to the same width as the handrail, and the problem that hollows between the stand columns and a building are not completely closed is solved. A protective net is arranged between the two adjacent stand columns, the problem that glass is damaged when violent impact exists is solved, the protective net is arranged between the two stand columns, and space is saved. The protection device has the characteristics of full-closed glass, high overall structural strength, glass protection, space saving and convenience in mounting.
