The purpose of the present invention is to provide a horizontal louver capable of improving appearance design. This horizontal shutter is provided with an upper beam, blades, a first lifting cord, anda first direction control cord having a pair of first vertical lines and a pair of first horizontal lines, wherein the pair of first vertical lines are suspended and supported on the upper beam, thefirst lifting cord and the blades are inserted between the pair of first horizontal lines, and the first direction control cord has a pair of second vertical lines and a pair of second horizontal lines. The pair of first transverse lines intersect with each other, the first lifting rope is suspended and supported on the upper beam, the blades are arranged between the positions where one of the pair of first longitudinal lines intersects with the pair of first transverse lines, and each blade is provided with a first edge part and a second edge part. One first longitudinal line of the pair of first longitudinal lines and the first lifting rope are located on the first edge portion of the blade, a first notch portion is formed in the second edge portion of the blade, and the other first longitudinal line of the pair of first longitudinal lines is located in the first notch portion.
