The invention provides a method for preparing a silicon carbide fiber reinforced graphite preform from silicon aerogel. The method comprises the following steps: preparing a green body from silicon aerogel in-situ cured raw powder, and carrying out high-temperature treatment to obtain the silicon carbide fiber reinforced graphite preform. According to the method, the silicon carbide fiber reinforced graphite preform which is high in mechanical strength, uniform in pore distribution and capable of being molded in a near-net size can be prepared.
