The invention discloses a vehicle storing and taking method, and belongs to the technical field of stereo garages. The vehicle storing and taking method comprises the following steps that (1) a vehicle reaches a designated position; (2) after a carrier receives an instruction, the vehicle is driven; (3) a front vehicle body of the carrier reaches the position of front wheels, and a front walking motor stops running; (4) a rear vehicle body of the carrier continues to walk; (5) the rear vehicle body of the carrier reaches the position of rear wheels, and a rear walking motor stops running; (6)the front walking motor and the rear walking motor both release a brake band-type brake; (7) a front clamping arm and a rear clamping arm clamp the wheels and lift the vehicle; (8) the carrier walks;(9) the vehicle is carried to the designated position; (10) the front clamping arm and the rear clamping arm retract, and the vehicle is placed at the designated position; and (11) the carrier returns. The technical problem that the centers of the front wheels and the rear wheels are difficult to coincide with the centers of the front clamping arm and the rear clamping arm at present, and consequently the vehicle is unstable in the carrying process is solved, and the vehicle storing and taking method is widely applied to the stereo garages.
