The invention discloses a cable connecting piece based on a tensioning mechanism, and relates to the technical field of cables. The device comprises a fixing piece located in the middle. Two ends of the fixing piece are connected with a pair of locking pieces. Each locking piece is in threaded connection with a locking pipe used for fixing a cable. A pair of tubular shells are symmetrically arranged on the fixing piece. A sliding hole is formed in the end face of each shell and penetrates through the interior of a corresponding shell. A plurality of strip-shaped limiting holes are formed in the peripheral side face of each shell. Each locking piece comprises a column body. One end of each column body is fixedly connected with a sliding rod matched with the sliding hole in a sliding mode. The ends, located in the shells, of the sliding rods are fixedly connected with baffle rings, and the baffle rings are provided with limiting blocks matched with the limiting holes in a sliding mode. The other end of each column body is fixedly connected with a threaded pipe, and the end of each threaded pipe is fixedly connected with a tensioning pipe. When the cable is impacted, springs are compressed in the shells, so that part of energy is absorbed, and service life of the cable is prolonged.
