The invention relates to an impermeable mortar and a construction process thereof. The impermeable mortar comprises the following components in parts by weight: 400 parts of ordinary Portland cement,50 parts of sulfoaluminate cement, 550 parts of quartz sand, 30 parts of redispersible latex powder, 2.5 parts of cellulose, 1.5 parts of a dispersant, 6 parts of a water repellent, 3 parts of PP fibers, 0.5 part of a defoaming agent, 3 parts of polypropylene short fibers, and 2 parts of polyvinyl alcohol. The defects of traditional thermal insulation mortar are overcome, the impermeable mortar can obviously prevent rainwater and ice water from corroding a wall body, prevents a wall body facing layer from falling off and mildewing, and plays a role in truly protecting the wall body, so that the service life of the wall body is prolonged.
