A cleaning mechanism is arranged on the inner side of the cleaning device body; the cleaning mechanism comprises a sliding block, a movable plate, a lifting motor, a lifting lead screw, a cleaning plate, a cleaning brush and a first limiting rod. A limiting mechanism is arranged on the lower side, close to the cleaning mechanism, in the cleaning device body. A recovery mechanism is arranged at one end of the cleaning mechanism; the recovery mechanism comprises a first fixing plate, a second fixing plate, a recovery motor, a recovery lead screw and a second limiting rod; and the inner bottom part of the cleaning device body is provided with a cleaning mechanism. According to the road cleaning device for the smart city, the height of the cleaning brush can be adjusted conveniently and flexibly, automation of cleaning of the cleaning brush can be achieved, and cleaning water can be replaced conveniently.
