The invention discloses a magnesium ramming mass for an electric furnace, belonging to the technical field of metal smelting. The magnesium ramming material is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 12 to 17% of fused magnesia or high-purity magnesia, 25 to 35% of high-iron high-calcium sand with a particle size of less than or equal to 1 mm, 25 to 35% of high-iron high-calcium sand with a particle size of more than 1 mm and less than or equal to 3 mm and 22 to 27% of high-iron high-calcium sand with a particle size of more than 3 mm and less than or equal to 5 mm. According to the invention, only the high-iron high-calcium sand with different granularities and the high-purity magnesia or fused magnesia are matched for use, so the magnesium ramming mass has the characteristics of simple composition and convenience in use. Meanwhile, under the condition that other ingredients are omitted and only the two types of raw materials are adopted, the service life of an electric furnace is greatly prolonged, and an unexpected technical effect is achieved.
