The invention discloses a preparation method of a polymer cement concrete additive, which is characterized by comprising the following steps: S1, polymerizing 2,6-bis (oxirane-2-methyl)-1, 2, 3, 5, 6,7-hexahydropyrrolo[3,4-f]isoindole-1, 3, 5, 7-tetraketone, ethylenediamine-N,N'-diacetic acid to obtain an intermediate product; S2, preparing hydroxymethyl sulfonic hyperbranched polyglycidyl ether;and S3, preparing the concrete additive. The invention also provides the polymer cement concrete additive prepared by the preparation method of the polymer cement concrete additive. The polymer cement concrete additive provided by the invention has the advantages of multiple functions, obvious improvement of the comprehensive performance of concrete, small mixing amount, higher water reducing rate, capability of effectively improving the strength, durability, workability and cohesiveness of the concrete, remarkable plasticizing effect, good adaptability to the concrete, and safety and environmental protection in use.
