The energy-saving and environment-friendly house building comprises a house body, wherein a storage box is arranged outside the house body; a cover plate is arranged at the top of the storage box; a planting groove used for planting green plants is formed in the storage box; the planting groove is slidably connectedto the outer side wall of the house body; a driving assembly used for driving the planting groove to move is arranged on the side wall of the house body; a through groove is formed in the side wall of the house body and used for communicating the storage box with the interior of the house body; a groove is formed in the top of the through groove; a baffle used for covering the through groove is slidably connected into the groove; a pull rope is connected to the top of the baffle; a connecting hole is formed in the house body; one end of the connecting hole is communicated with the groove, andthe other end of the connecting hole is communicated with the outside of the house body; the pull rope penetrates through the connecting hole; and the other, which deviates from the baffle, of the pull rope is connected with the top of the planting groove. The energy-saving and environment-friendly house building has the effects that green plants are reasonably utilized to purify indoor air, andmeanwhile pollution of the green plants to the indoor air quality can be reduced at night.
