The invention discloses a glass fiber reinforced desulfurized building gypsum composite material and a preparation method thereof. The glass fiber reinforced desulfurized building gypsum composite material is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 80-120 parts of semi-hydrated desulfurized gypsum, 0.1-1.5 parts of a water reducing agent, 0.1-1.5 parts of a retarder and 0.1-2parts of glass fibers. Wherein the water-solid ratio is 0.53 to 0.55. The invention has the characteristics of enhancing the strength of the desulfurized gypsum and improving the water resistance ofthe desulfurized gypsum, and widening the application range of the desulfurized gypsum material in the building field.
