The invention provides an installation method for a composite cable of a newly-built ocean platform. The installation method for the composite cable of the newly-built ocean platform comprises the following steps: before the ocean platform enters water, fixing an anchoring structure to the bottom of the ocean platform; fixing a tensioning device and a junction box to the top of the ocean platform;connecting the top end and the bottom end of the composite cable fixed with an auxiliary anode and a first reference electrode with the tensioning device and the anchoring structure separately; leading a cable core wire at the top end of the composite cable into the junction box through a branching cover fixed on the cable core wire; adjusting a tensioning force through the tensioning device so as to enable the composite cable to be in a tensioned state; and installing the ocean platform into a designated sea area; and putting the ocean platform into a fixed sea area. According to the invention, lifting lugs on main legs, and the tensioning device are adopted for tensioning the composite cable, and due to the fact that the lifting lugs are simple in structure and convenient to install, and all the work of tensioning the composite cable is completed before the ocean platform enters water, the construction steps are reduced, the offshore construction period is shortened, the construction cost is reduced, the construction difficulty is lowered, and meanwhile the construction risk is reduced.
