The invention discloses a water conservancy gate safety monitoring device, which comprises a gate, wherein the gate is connected with the ground in a sliding mode, two friction wheels are connected tothe right end face of the gate in a friction mode, the two friction wheels are fixedly connected to a friction shaft, the friction shaft is rotationally connected with the ground, a meshing gear is further fixedly connected to the friction shaft, and the meshing gear meshes with a power gear. The water conservancy gate safety monitoring device has the main effects that when the gate does not playa role in blocking water flow, the safety device does not influence passing of the water flow, when the gate is put down to block the water flow, the device is started, whether the water flow existson the downstream face of the gate or not is monitored, if the water flow exists, the fact indicates that the gate begins to leak water, if slight water leakage occurs, the device gives an alarm for repair, and if water flow is too large and cannot be controlled, the device can replace the gate to play a standby role in intercepting the water flow.
