The invention discloses a multifunctional height limiting frame for road traffic, and relates to the field of traffic management. The multifunctional height limiting frame comprises two bases, the topends of the bases are fixedly connected with fixed side columns, the top ends of the fixed side columns are fixedly connected with positioning columns, and lifting columns are arranged above the fixed side columns; and the lifting columns are arranged outside the positioning columns in a sleeving mode and slidably connected with the positioning columns, handrails are rotatably connected to the adjacent sides of the two lifting columns correspondingly, a bottom shell is fixedly connected between the two bases, a detection device is arranged in the bottom shell, and a comprehensive lifting mechanism and a side lifting mechanism are arranged in each lifting column. By arranging the comprehensive lifting mechanisms and the side lifting mechanisms on the lifting columns, the heights of the handrails can be adjusted in two modes, and the multifunctional height limiting frame is high in adjustability, wide in adjusting range and capable of meeting various height limiting requirements; and the gravity of a vehicle can be converted into the liquid pressure for detecting by arranging the detection device, thus the detection load of a sensor is effectively reduced, detection is facilitated,and the detection effect is good.
