The invention relates to a temporary gate plate for large sewage pipeline connection construction and a construction method thereof. The temporary gate plate comprises a grid steel frame, a steel baffle, a plurality of supporting pieces, a fixed base and an inclined supporting piece, wherein the grid steel frame is fixedly connected with the steel baffle; one end of each supporting piece is fixedto the upper half part of the grid steel frame, and the other end of each supporting piece is fixedly connected to the side wall of a working well; the fixed base is fixed to a bottom plate of the working well; the top end of the inclined supporting piece is hinged to the lower half part of the grid steel frame; and the bottom end of the inclined supporting piece is supported on the fixed base. The temporary gate plate has the advantages that the supporting pieces are not prone to loosening, the bottom of the steel baffle is not prone to bending, and the blocking effect is better.
