The asphalt paving method comprises the following steps: preparing and mixing an asphalt mixture; wherein the asphalt mixture comprises SBS modified asphalt, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, mineral powder and basalt fiber; wherein the mass parts of the SBS modified asphalt, the coarse aggregate, the fine aggregate, the mineral powder and the basalt fiber are 32-42 parts, 10-12 parts, 15-18 parts, 28-32 parts and 0.2-1 part respectively; paving an asphalt mixture; rolling construction, including initial pressing, secondarypressing and final pressing; and performing joint construction. According to the asphalt pavement method for road construction, the pavement construction quality of the asphalt concrete road can be guaranteed, the high-temperature stability and the low-temperature crack resistance of the asphalt road can be enhanced, and the service life of the asphalt road is prolonged.
