The invention relates to an adjustable temporary expansion joint cover plate device which comprises a cover plate and a cover plate frame, the cover plate frame is of a quadrilateral frame structure and comprises two parallel transverse plates and two longitudinal plates connected between the two transverse plates, and the cover plate covers an upper opening of the cover plate frame; the cover plate frame is provided with a supporting body used for fixing the cover plate frame to an expansion joint, the supporting body comprises a fixed part fixedly arranged between the two transverse plates and a movable part movably connected between the two transverse plates, and the distance between the movable part and the fixed part is adjustable. A locking piece used for locking the movable part andthe fixed part is arranged between the movable part and the fixed part, and the fixed part and the movable part are used for abutting against two bridges forming the expansion joint. The cover platedevice is simple in structure, convenient to assemble and disassemble, wide in application range, low in manufacturing cost and capable of being repeatedly used, the construction cost is saved, and the safety during bridge construction is improved.
