The invention discloses a portable warning device for electric power construction. The portable warning device comprises a box body, a box cover is arranged at the upper end of the box body, screws are arranged on the box cover, the screws are in threaded connection with the box body, a fixing rod is arranged at the lower end of the box cover, a warning sign is fixedly connected to the tail end ofthe fixing rod, and a telescopic rod is arranged in the box body; the upper end of the telescopic rod is fixedly connected to the lower end of the box cover, a first motor is arranged at the lower end of the box cover, a screw rod is fixedly connected to the output end of the first motor, a sliding block is installed on the screw rod in a sliding mode, a connecting rod is fixedly connected to theside wall of the sliding block, and a cleaning block is arranged at the tail end of the connecting rod. When warning is requried at a specific location, the box body is taken to the place. The screwis rotated to be detached from the box cover, the telescopic rod is extended to drive the box cover to move upwards, and then the warning board is driven to move upwards to a proper position for warning; and by arranging the telescopic rod, the warning sign can be retracted into the box body to be stored, so that the warning sign is protected and is convenient to carry.
