The invention relates to a beam string prestress applying device and method. The beam string prestress applying device comprises supporting rods, a connector of a prestress applying device is fixedlyarranged at the tail end of each supporting rod, and at least two movable heads are evenly arranged on each connector; at least one pair of prestress applying devices of a foundation pit support structure is arranged in the middles of the two or more movable heads; movable space is formed in each movable head, an inclined plane is arranged on one side of each movable space, a guide groove is formed in the position corresponding to each inclined plane, a wedge block can be inserted into each guide groove, and the inclination angles of the wedge blocks and the inclined planes are mutually complementary; and according to needs, filling plates can be detached into the movable space, so that the movable heads and the foundation pit support structure are tightly supported. Prestress is applied to the ends of the supporting rods, construction is convenient and fast, and the construction process is safe and stable; pre-pressure is applied, and the pressure is maintained through the steel wedgeblocks, so that the pre-stress loss is low; and prestress can be conveniently applied multiple times, and foundation pit safety can be dynamically guaranteed.
