The invention discloses a movable ladder type scaffold for building construction, and relates to the technical field of scaffolds. The movable ladder type scaffold comprises a bottom frame and a top frame. A first connecting rod and a second connecting rod are hinged to two sides of opposite faces of the bottom frame and the top frame respectively; connecting ends are hinged between two adjacent first connecting rods and second connecting rods; and two-way threaded rods are in threaded connection between the two connecting ends located at the two ends of the bottom frame and the two ends of the top frame. A connecting frame is rotationally connected between the two two-way threaded rods; a servo motor is arranged on the surface of the connecting frame; a gear is fixed at the rotating shaftend of the servo motor; and the peripheral side surface of the gear is in transmission connection with the two two-way threaded rods through a toothed belt. The two two-way threaded rods are driven by the servo motor to rotate, the connecting ends at the two ends of the two-way threaded rods move relatively to enable the top frame to ascend and descend, physical strength consumed by climbing is reduced, the scaffold is suitable for construction operation at different heights, higher in universality, small in size after contraction and convenient to transport and carry, and the construction process of building construction is guaranteed.
