The invention provides an elastic fastener applied to a railway steel rail. The elastic fastener is arranged on a sleeper and comprises a steel rail fixing assembly and an elastic assembly, the steelrail fixing assembly is fixedly arranged on a rail bearing platform, an accommodating space is arranged between the rail bearing platform and the sleeper, and the elastic assembly is arranged in the accommodating space; the elastic assembly is an inflatable air bag, and the inflatable air bag makes contact with the rail bearing platform and the sleeper. The rail bearing platform is connected withthe sleeper through a supporting rod, a buffering piece is arranged on the supporting rod, and the stress on the railway steel rail is transmitted to the inflatable air bag and the buffering piece through the rail bearing platform and consumed by the air in the inflatable air bag and the reciprocating motion of the buffering piece.
