The invention discloses a corrosion-resistant cobalt-based material which is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 18.36 wt% of Sm, 38.25 wt% of Co, 20.00 wt% of Fe, 4.88 wt% of Cu, 2.33 wt% of Zr, 4.2 wt% of Li, 6.1 wt% of Ni and 5.38 wt% of Mn. According to the invention, the characteristics of high volumetric specific energy and high discharge platform of a lithium cobalt oxide material are maintained, the cobalt-based material has higher thermal stability than lithium cobalt oxide, the cost of the lithium cobalt oxide material is reduced, the cobalt-based material is a substitute of the next generation of lithium cobalt oxide positive electrode material, and the cobalt-based material has good corrosion resistance and excellent magnetic properties.
