The invention relates to a self-cleaning anti-blocking floor drain and a using method thereof. The self-cleaning anti-blocking floor drain comprises a shell, a filter screen, a buoyancy part, a conversion assembly, and a sweeping assembly. The shell is vertically arranged; the lower end of the shell is communicated with an external sewer line; a water inlet cavity, a water storage cavity and a siphon channel are formed in the shell; the water inlet cavity is located above the water storage cavity and communicated with the water storage cavity; a water inlet of the siphon channel is located inside the water storage cavity; a water outlet is located outside the water storage cavity and communicated with the external sewer line and lower than the bottom face of the water storage cavity; the highest point of the siphon channel is positioned above the water storage cavity; the filter screen is arranged above the water inlet cavity; and the buoyancy part is arranged above the water storage cavity, is configured to ascend or descend along with the height of the water level in the water storage cavity, and drives the sweeping assembly to rotate through the conversion assembly to clean thefilter screen. According to the self-cleaning anti-blocking floor drain and the using method thereof, after water flow in the water storage cavity is accumulated to fill the siphon channel, the waterlevel is lowered, the buoyancy part frequently ascends and descends, and then the sweeping assembly continuously rotates to clean the filter screen, so that the self-cleaning and the anti-blocking functions of the floor drain are achieved.
