The method comprises the following steps that according to the actual size of the existing door and window, glass cutting equipment is utilized to cut a piece of glass with the size matched with the size of the existing door and window; the height of glass installing equipment is adjusted according to the height from the door and window to the flat surface, and the cut glass is put into the door and window by utilizing the glass installing equipment; and after the glass is put into the door and window, under the supporting effect of the glass installing equipment, a worker applies glass cement to the part, being in contactwith the door and window, of the glass, and after the glass cement is naturally solidified and air-dried, the glass installing equipment is removed. According to the method for installing the glass of the existing door and window in the building, with the glass installing equipment, the glass can be quickly, accurately and safely installed in a frame of the door and window, more time and labor are saved, and the whole glass installing equipment can be folded after being used, so that the occupied space of the glass installing equipment is reduced, and the glass installing equipment is convenient to transfer and carry.
