The invention discloses a traction device for building construction and a using method thereof. The traction device comprises a limiting structure and a traction mechanism, wherein the traction mechanism is mounted on the limiting structure; the limiting structure comprises a bottom plate, first supporting plates, second supporting plates, a top plate and metal rings; the two first supporting plates and the two second supporting plates are fixedly mounted on the top surface of the bottom plate; the same top plate is fixedly mounted at the tops of the two first supporting plates and the two second supporting plates; and the plurality of metal rings are mounted on the bottom surface of the top plate. The traction device is reasonable in design; through the arrangement of a steel wire rope and a hook, the limitation of a construction site on the size of the traction device can be effectively solved, so that the traction work can be successfully carried out, and the delay degree of the construction period is reduced; and the traction device is simple to operate and convenient to move to a using position, can be flexibly used in various narrow spaces under the condition that certain traction force is guaranteed, improves the efficiency of on-site construction, and is wide in application range.
