The invention belongs to the field of buildings, and particularly relates to an attic capable of automatically controlling light and ventilating and a using method thereof. The attic comprises an attic body. A spherical window body is embedded in a roof of the attic body and is of a hollow structure. A rotating shaft is rotatably connected into the spherical window body, and the rotating shaft issleeved with a light-transmitting plate. The light-transmitting plate is connected with the inner wall of the spherical window body in a sealed and sliding mode. According to the attic capable of automatically controlling light and ventilating and the using method thereof, the position of clear water in the spherical window body can be changed through temperature changes generated when illumination changes in summer, the light scattering or light gathering effect of the spherical window body is achieved, gardenia is guaranteed to be properly illuminated, automatic ventilation in the daytime and at night can be achieved through cooperation of magnetic plates and magnetic blocks, tedious manual regulation and control are avoided, in addition, the window body in the attic is designed to be spherical, and compared with a planar window body, dust is not prone to being accumulated, and the light transmittance of the window body is not affected.
